Job description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead the administration, configuration, deployment, and support of Kubernetes and container platforms.
  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes environments including Amazon EKS and OpenShift.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage containerized applications across enterprise environments.
  • Implement and support service mesh technologies such as Istio and Solo Gloo Mesh, including Ambient Mesh.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Harness.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Groovy, Shell, and other scripting technologies.
  • Manage Kubernetes application deployments using Helm.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Configure and manage NGINX and related application/networking components.
  • Work with AWS cloud services including Route 53 (R53), EFS, and EC2.
  • Support container platform integrations with AWS and Azure environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes clusters, container workloads, networking, and deployments.
  • Implement best practices for Kubernetes security, scalability, reliability, and high availability.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to improve container platform operations.
  • Develop automation solutions to streamline deployment, configuration, monitoring, and operational processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in technology infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, or container platform environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration is required.
  • Strong experience with Amazon EKS and/or OpenShift.
  • Experience with container deployment and orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with Istio Service Mesh.
  • Experience with Solo Gloo Mesh / Ambient Mesh is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or Harness.
  • Experience with Groovy, Shell scripting, Helm, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Experience with NGINX and container networking.
  • Working knowledge of AWS services, including Route 53, EFS, and EC2.
  • Experience working with Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across development, infrastructure, DevOps, and engineering teams.
