Job Description Senior Contracts Analyst - Energy Trading Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Job Type: 4 Month Contract Industry: Energy Trading / Commodities / Oil & Gas Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Contracts Analyst with deep experience supporting energy trading and marketing organizations. This role is responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing master trading agreements governing physical and financial energy commodity transactions while minimizing credit, legal, and operational risk. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ISDA Master Agreements, Gas NAESB, Power Annex, EEI, NGL NAESB, Dodd-Frank regulations, and energy commodity trading contracts.

This is a senior-level opportunity requiring strong negotiation skills, legal contract analysis, and the ability to collaborate with Credit, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, Operations, and Trading teams. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, negotiate, and manage master trading agreements and related ancillary agreements for physical and financial energy commodity transactions. Negotiate and maintain ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes (CSA), EEI, NAESB, NGL, and related industry agreements.

Interpret and apply company credit, treasury, legal, and compliance policies during contract negotiations. Analyze contractual language and recommend revisions that appropriately balance commercial objectives and risk mitigation. Partner closely with Trading, Credit Risk, Legal, Treasury, Compliance, Settlements, and Operations teams.

Maintain contract databases, workflow systems, agreement repositories, and key contractual provisions. Track agreement status and ensure documentation remains accurate and current. Support contract novations, assignments, amendments, terminations, and strategic business initiatives.

Identify opportunities to improve contract processes, documentation standards, and internal controls. Generate reports and provide contract status updates to business stakeholders. Required Qualifications Extensive experience negotiating energy trading agreements.

Strong experience with: ISDA Master Agreements ISDA Gas & Power Annexes EEI Agreements Gas NAESB NGL NAESB IECA agreements Assignments and Novations Strong understanding of: Physical energy trading Financial energy trading Commodity markets Derivatives Environmental credits Deep knowledge of Dodd-Frank regulations. Experience analyzing complex legal language and identifying commercial and legal risk. Strong understanding of credit support, legal compliance, and operational risk.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced trading environment. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
