Salary Range: $91,000-$101,300

Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday

Job Overview

Our client, a leader in the intellectual property law industry, is seeking an experienced IP Administrator (Patent) to support attorneys and clients in domestic patent prosecution. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, with hybrid expectations for those within a commutable distance. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years of patent prosecution experience, strong organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail. This is a collaborative role that thrives in a team-based, service-oriented environment.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • 3โ€“6 years of domestic patent prosecution experience, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Strong understanding of patent prosecution terminology, procedures, and workflow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and problem-solving ability.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
  • Skilled in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and relevant intellectual property software.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to workload demands.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file domestic patent prosecution documents with the USPTO.
  • Maintain patent dockets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely deadlines.
  • Organize and safeguard electronic files and intellectual property records.
  • Review and process incoming correspondence and client instructions according to firm policies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and IP management software to handle filings, correspondence, and reports.
  • Conduct research using resources like the USPTO website, firm intranet, and MPEP.
  • Provide practice support and administrative assistance to attorneys and clients.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members when needed.
  • Participate in special projects, pilot programs, and technology implementations.
