Job description

Job Function

Performs intermediate duties and support related to branch operational activities and financial services. Processes new account and maintenance transactions, assists customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services, and cross-sells products and services. Promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.


Job Responsibilities

Performs daily office responsibilities such as, account transactions, account maintenance, customer correspondence, balancing consistently, and completing delegated reports and projects as scheduled.

Handles various branch tasks daily, in addition to customer activity, such as, balancing and monitoring cash items, crediting holdover accounts, preparing statement of condition, ordering and preparing cash shipments.

Promotes good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction; Has a developed rapport with the customer base.

Consistently meets or exceeds sales goals as set by banking center management for a commensurate level of CSR.

Initiates sales and is capable of effectively cross-selling bank products and services to customers, so that personal and bank goals are consistently met and/or exceeded.

Maintains a well-developed working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered; takes responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.

Handles complex customer problems with professionalism.

Assists supervisor in establishing objectives and carrying out plans for the branch.

Ensures that own work is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and guidelines.

All other duties as assigned.


Education and Related Experience

  • 2 + years sales experience required.
  • Prior CSR experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.


Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to present a professional image.
  • Ability to properly read and write well enough to communicate in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must take initiative and utilize sound judgment in decision making and higher level problem solving.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to interact well and in a positive manner with co-workers and management.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate a sales initiative.


Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard if required performing the essential job functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document.
  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
