Job description

Job Function –

Manages all Bank property and facilities including the construction of new facilities and/or the remodeling of existing facilities and REO properties. Manages third party vendors for all areas of facilities management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities –

• Manages the Facilities Ticketing system, monthly task sheet, and seating charts.

• Ensures document destruction, retention schedule awareness, document storage and shred vendors.

• Recommends the purchase and/or replacement of equipment as needed.

• Oversees the maintenance and cleaning, both internal and external, of branch equipment and facilities including janitorial, HVAC, lighting, roof, and lawncare.

• Oversees the permitting, purchasing and selling of property, tenant leases, Investar property leases, ATM moves, and post office boxes.

• Responsible for maintenance agreements for all office/bank equipment, recommending purchasing new equipment as needed.

• Purchases new property and serves as liaison between the Bank, the Bank's agents (if applicable), and the Bank's attorney and sellers.

• Responsible for clean up, repairing and reselling of all REO properties.

• Manages the construction process of new facilities and the renovation of existing facilities, serving as the Bank's liaison with architects and contractors in order to complete projects timely and within budgetary constraints.

• Negotiates lease contracts for new and/or existing facilities.

• Ensures the maintenance of all applicable locations for compliance with the Bank Protection Act and the ADA act.

• Approves expenditures for purchases and outside services, etc. subject to assigned purchasing authority.

• Assists with the facilitation and support of the IT Group with equipment tracking, management of equipment with staff rotation (new and terms).

• Supports Incident Response and Disaster Recovery Team during unexpected events to ensure site safety such as winter events and spring clean-up from storm damage.

• Assists with the facilitation and support of Corporate Security initiatives including the installation, maintenance, and vendor relations of security systems in market. Maintaining communications with the security team through the initiative as needed.

• Maintains and ensures compliance signage including digital, interior, exterior, door decals and framed FDIC disclosures for all locations.

• Ensures that own work is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and guidelines.

• Performs all other dutes as assigned.


Education and Related Experience –

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience required.

• 5+ years in all aspects of construction and maintenance of facilities required.

• 3+ years supervisory and managerial experience preferred.


Skills and Abilities –

• Must possess the ability to utilize a personal computer.

• Must have experience with project management software and MS Office products.

• Knowledge of various types of bank equipment preferred.

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Good understanding of financial institution departments and activities to ensure streamlined purchasing of supplies and services.

• Good understanding and knowledge of supply sources, graphic arts services, and engineering and technical service suppliers, as necessary.

• Superior communication and organizational skills


Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements –

• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.

• Ability to operate a keyboard if required performing the essential job functions.

• Ability to read and interpret a document.

• Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions (75%)

• Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence, omitting lifting as a physical requirement.
