What You Will Be Doing:

As the Inventory Manager for Yancey's Electric Power Generation group, you will provide optimal inventory accuracy for the dealership. You will perform multiple duties related to inventory acquisition and inventory performance, vendor performance and internal customer service to achieve the greatest return on investment for Yancey Bros. Co. To be effective, you must establish an understanding of the core objectives and accountabilities for the role.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Daily receiving of new inventory.
  • Code CAT invoices. Update inventory with the data on the invoices such as part numbers, serial numbers, adding inbound freight costs, so that inventory is accurate. When update complete, send copies of all invoices to AP for payment.
  • Code (Non-CAT) vendor invoices. Update inventory with the data on the invoices such as part numbers, serial numbers, adding inbound freight cost so that inventory is accurate. When update complete, send copies of all invoices to AP for payment.
  • Dealer Trades search.
  • Monthly order placement.
  • Maintaining and updating configurations.
  • Complete and maintain aged inventory reports.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager.

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience as an Inventory Manager in a similar industry, possess strong problem solving skills and a strong focus on customer service.

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Four-year college degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in industry experience.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as this position will frequently contact people via email, phone, and in person.
  • Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft suite of business software Excel.
  • This person must be highly organized and analytical with an advanced attention to detail.
  • Must be able to analyze problems and develop solutions.
