IT Strategy Engineer - AI & Digital Transformation

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is advancing its digital transformation journey to improve how work is performed across engineering, research, and business functions.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to reshape how organizations operate, HATCI is seeking an IT Strategy Engineer to help identify opportunities, develop technology roadmaps, and drive business transformation through digital technologies, automation, and AI.

This role is not responsible for developing AI models. Instead, the successful candidate will focus on evaluating emerging technologies, enabling enterprise adoption, transforming business processes, and ensuring alignment with Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) global initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong business and technology acumen, understands the rapidly evolving AI landscape, and is passionate about applying technology to create measurable business value.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Drive Digital Transformation & Business Innovation

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, collaboration, productivity, and operational efficiency through digital technologies, automation, and AI
  • Collect, evaluate, and prioritize transformation opportunities across business units
  • Develop technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and enterprise strategy
  • Identify measurable business outcomes and success metrics for transformation initiatives
  • Support organizational change management and digital adoption efforts

Lead AI Adoption & Emerging Technology Strategy

  • Monitor AI, Generative AI, automation, and emerging technology trends relevant to enterprise environments
  • Evaluate AI platforms, digital tools, and enterprise solutions to identify practical business applications
  • Develop AI adoption strategies and implementation roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities
  • Serve as an internal advisor on AI opportunities, risks, limitations, and best practices
  • Promote responsible and business-focused adoption of AI capabilities across the organization

Bridge Business and IT

  • Act as a strategic liaison between business teams, IT, and Cybersecurity
  • Translate business challenges into scalable technology-enabled solutions
  • Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align stakeholders on priorities, requirements, and execution plans
  • Support business case development, executive reporting, and strategic planning activities

Align with HMG Global Initiatives

  • Ensure local technology initiatives align with Hyundai Motor Group's global Digital Transformation, IT, and AI/AX strategies

  • Promote standardization and reduce duplication of technology investments across regions
  • Help drive adoption of global platforms and initiatives where appropriate

Support Governance & Responsible Technology Use

  • Support governance frameworks for AI and emerging technologies
  • Recommend balanced approaches that enable innovation while protecting enterprise information assets

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • 5+ years of experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, enterprise technology, solution engineering, program management, or related fields
  • Experience working across both business and technical organizations
  • Demonstrated interest, experience, or involvement in AI, automation, or emerging digital technologies
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, SaaS platforms, and technology adoption practices
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze business challenges and translate them into practical technology solutions
