Job description

Job Title: Injection Molding Technician
Location: IML Containers Arizona Inc. - Bellemont, AZ
We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Technician to join our team and play a vital role in
the maintenance, and optimization of our production process machinery. As
a technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our
molding machines and associated automated equipment. Your expertise will be essential in minimizing
downtime, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting the production team in maintaining
high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have advanced mechanical knowledge, hands-on mechanical experience, and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational
challenges with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on injection
    molding machines. Knowledge in mechanical systems, electrical systems, cooling
    systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems is preferred.
  • Troubleshooting: Effectively troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and
    operational breakdowns, ensuring minimal impact on production timelines.
  • Process Optimization: Support the team during production changeovers, ensuring
    smooth transitions and the maintenance of high-quality output according to customer
    requirements.
  • Machine Adjustments: Adjust machine settings, molds, and equipment to improve
    efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality meets specifications.
  • Fabrication & Parts Replacement: Fabricate or source replacement parts, ensuring
    that equipment operates at peak performance.
  • Quality Control: Perform regular inspections and assessments of machine functions,
    troubleshooting mechanical faults and making necessary adjustments.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, ensuring a safe working
    environment for yourself and the team. Conduct routine safety checks and maintenance
    on equipment to ensure compliance.
    Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience working with injection molding machinery in
    a maintenance or technician role, with strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and
    pneumatic systems used in injection molding.
  • Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to resolve complex
    issues independently and quickly.
  • Machinery Familiarity: Experience with injection molding machines, molds, and
    auxiliary equipment (e.g. robotics, cooling systems).
  • Safety Standards: Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and the ability to
    maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to
    collaborate effectively with the production team.
  • Time Management: Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
    and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and manipulate heavy machinery and tools as
    needed.
    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in industrial maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience with automated systems, robotic integration, or other advanced
