Help Support Life-Changing Infusion Therapies
We are seeking a dedicated Infusion Center Pharmacy Technician to join our outpatient pharmacy team. In this role, you will play an important part in preparing, distributing, and managing medications that support patients receiving infusion therapies and other specialized treatments.
Working under the supervision of a Pharmacist, you will assist with sterile compounding, medication preparation, inventory management, and pharmacy operations that directly impact patient care. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment, and is passionate about supporting safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care.
You'll work alongside pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a patient-centered setting where accuracy, teamwork, and safety are essential to every interaction.
What You'll Do
  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, distribution, billing, and patient record management
  • Compound sterile intravenous (IV) solutions, including hazardous medications, following established procedures and safety standards
  • Support compliance with USP <797> and USP <800> regulations and best practices
  • Prepare selected extemporaneously compounded medications as directed
  • Package medications and prepare products for dispensing
  • Maintain pharmacy records, departmental systems, and required documentation
  • Operate pharmacy equipment and technology systems safely and effectively
  • Complete monthly unit inspections and support pharmacy quality initiatives
  • Participate in pharmaceutical inventory activities and help maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Assist with purchasing responsibilities when needed
  • Contribute to department and hospital committees, projects, and quality improvement efforts
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing competency development of team members
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, infusion center staff, and healthcare teams to support safe patient care
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy technician experience preferred
  • Sterile compounding experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain compliance with safety standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality, and excellent service
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in Indiana and Kentucky
  • Must obtain Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation within one year of employment
