About the Role

iCapital is seeking a Senior UX Writer to enhance the user experience across the iCapital platform by crafting clear, engaging, and user-centered content across all products. This role plays a critical part in shaping how users interact with experiences, including AI-driven capabilities, by defining intuitive inputs and ensuring clear, consistent outputs. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including product leadership, to elevate content standards and ensure users navigate the platform with clarity and confidence.

This individual will operate as both a hands-on contributor and a strategic leader, helping to shape and scale the design system content guidelines and governance frameworks while supporting the complexity of a multi-language, multi-currency product environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as both a hands-on contributor and a strategic leader.
  • Create clear, consistent, and user-centered content that guides clients through complex application workflows, subscription and onboarding journeys.
  • Drive content design leadership by shaping and evolving iCapital design system writing style guides, reusable patterns, and governance frameworks to ensure consistent, multi-language and multi-currency experiences across platforms.
  • Guide content recommendation through design critiques, content reviews, and collaborative workshops.
  • Ensure all content aligns with accessibility standards, regulatory guidelines, and plain-language best practices.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality content solutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the UX, Product, Legal and Compliance teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective content solutions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or digital product content strategy
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, UX design, human-computer interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience with financial services, or other regulated industries
  • Demonstrated experience designing application flows, subscriptions, onboarding journeys, and user guidance for digital products
  • Provide clear, user-focused writing for complex systems or enterprise applications
  • Experience developing and building design systems, content standards, and governance frameworks
  • Proficiency with collaboration and design tools such as Figma, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced product environments
  • Familiar with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA and inclusive design principles
  • Experience working with AI-assisted content tools
  • Experience working within legal, regulatory, and compliance review processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet approval requirements
  • Portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume is required

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $150,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).
