Artworks Manager in Training (MIT)

Location: Denison, TX
Position Type: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Are you passionate about art, community impact, and helping individuals achieve their full potential? Goodwill North Texas is seeking an Artworks Manager in Training (MIT) to support our ArtWorks program, where creativity meets purpose. This unique opportunity combines leadership development, participant support, program operations, and community engagement in a mission-driven environment.

As an ArtWorks MIT, you will work directly with adults, adolescents, and children with disabilities or disadvantages, providing art coaching, facilitating creative opportunities, and supporting participants in building confidence, independence, and life skills through artistic expression. You will also gain hands-on experience in program leadership, gallery operations, event coordination, and compliance management while preparing for future management responsibilities.

What You'll Do
  • Coach and support participants in the creation of artwork while fostering creativity, personal growth, and independence.
  • Assist with art classes, workshops, and special events for participants and community members.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for Mission programs.
  • Monitor participant progress and maintain accurate attendance, service, and case documentation in electronic databases.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, community partners, and team members.
  • Help coordinate services and activities to ensure established participant goals and outcomes are achieved.
  • Support inventory management, scheduling, facility organization, and program cleanliness.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with Mission Services leadership.
  • Learn and support compliance with CARF standards and program requirements.
  • Gain experience in retail gallery operations and customer service.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
