Position Summary

The Concessions Worker duties may include but are not limited to preparing concession items and pouring beverages for guests, ensuring quality of food presentation, operating the point of sale system, cleaning, and performing other duties as assigned. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $11.00 to $14.00 and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper setup of all concession locations prior to doors.
  • Set-up duties may include the following: verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers (employee/volunteer), ensuring sanitation standards are met, and verifying that Courteously greets and assists guests.
  • Takes food orders and serves guests.
  • Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions.
  • Properly stores food by applying food safety policies and procedures Sets up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc. Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes workstations.
  • Serves food to guests while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating the guests' needs.
  • Replenishes food items and ensures products are stocked to appropriate levels.
  • Maintains excellent service, positive demeanor, friendly, efficient, and positive service towards guests, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to OVG safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation.
  • Ensures security of company assets.
Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • High school diploma or GED peferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
