ZF Gainesville, LLC has job openings (multiple) for the position of Engineer III - Plant Quality based out of its location in Gainesville, GA.

Job Duties:  Manage Customer Zero-Mile issues in customer portals. Manage customer warranty issues. Facilitate Corrective Action Teams. Perform internal quality investigations. Perform review of customer 0 km and field and warranty returns in a timely manner.  Manage 8D investigations or similar corrective action process derived from product and process audits, and from internal quality investigations. Maintain internal indicators and process audits. Maintain records for corrective actions. Prepare zero miles data and report status via electronic graphs. Serve as a customer contact concerning quality topics to include completion, submission, and approval of customer PPAP's as well as ensuring customer-specific requirements. Coordinate new project introduction including product and process and launch activities to ensure adherences with company procedures, TS16949 requirements and customer expectations. Coordinate regular project team meetings, review progress in line with timing plan and ensure that the team members are kept updated on key project developments and timescale changes. Identify and assign appropriate actions and deadlines to ensure that customer, business, and technical requirements are fulfilled. Provide guidance to team members on their areas of responsibilities. Provide technical quality support to project core team and support project team members with the creation of relevant quality documentation for each project including APQP, FMEA, PPAP, or MSA. Ensure that the relevant project documentation is stored per divisional requirements. Coordinate customer onsite related activities including audits and run at rate. Review and audit the project management introduction process and identify areas for continuous improvement and best practice. Participate in product design reviews. Support any prototype builds and complete any Customer required documentation. Perform internal process as prescribed by TCQ.  Perform large and small production assessments. Perform Cpk, Cmk, and SPC studies per AIAG Standards. Perform MSA and Gage R&R studies per AIAG Standards. Manage IMDS website. Initiate and Maintain Quality Control Documentation including: Work Instructions, Pruf Plan, Process FMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, and Inspection Record.


Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or closely related field plus 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality setting and Demonstrated experience with: AIAG and IATF standards, including IATF 16949; Rapid problem-solving processes, including 8Ds; APQP documents (PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams); Process Control (SPC, Standardized work, Run-at-Rate analysis, Process Capability); Document Revision Control; MSA and Gage R&R; PPAP; Process Audits (External and Internal); Automotive component production; Cpk, Cmk, and SPC; and TS16949.
