Job Summary
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
Under close supervision, this position is responsible for creating, managing, and organizing aviation maintenance-related components and documentation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Keep operations running efficiently by ensuring that maintenance tasks, procedures, and schedules are properly documented and accessible.
  • Recording maintenance work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history.
  • Ensuring that maintenance documents are up to date and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Maintains all technical documents and records including maintenance plans, Job Control Numbers, historical documents, aircraft files, Time Compliance Technical order (TCTOs) folders, engine records, and procedures.
  • Through analysis of the completion of aircraft Service and Alert bulletins.
  • Reviewing engineering documents and managing them in Ramco.
  • Collaborating with maintenance teams to document repair activities, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Ensures change accounting activity is in compliance with configuration management policies.
  • Administers configuration management activities related to identification, control, and accounting for engineering documents for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating practices and procedures.
  • Additional Functions: Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related discipline. Equivalent professional government or commercial configuration management experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Must have experience with an Electronic Record Keeping System or a Maintenance Management System. i.e. Optimized-Organizational Maintenance Activity (OOMA), NALCOMIS, IMDS, Ramco or other like systems.
  • Must demonstrate a basic understanding of aviation maintenance principles, concepts, regulations and practices.
  • Must have a basic understanding of configuration management concepts and principles, general application of those concepts and principles.
  • Must possess:
    • ability to participate in the development of new concepts and communicate and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment
    • ability to determine the appropriate approach at the task or project level and provide solutions to non-routine proposal problems
    • good communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of employees and management
    • ability to represent the organization on proposal matters with external customers
    • ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
    • ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to travel as required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.
