Job Title: IMAC Junior Engineer / Data Center Technician
Location: New York, NY 10013 (7 Hudson St - 10013)
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Pay Rate: $33.00 / Hr on W-2
Work Schedule: Full-Time (Includes on-call rotations and after-hours maintenance windows)
Job Summary
We are seeking an IMAC Junior Technician to execute Infrastructure Moves, Adds, and Changes (IMAC) across designated data center facilities. This role involves hands-on hardware installation, decommissioning, structured cabling, asset tracking, and providing remote hands support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Installations & Moves (IMAC): Unbox, inventory, tag, rack, and stack hardware. Execute equipment relocations, de-installations, and re-installations.
  • Structured Cabling: Install, route, and maintain copper and fiber infrastructure (including fiber jumpers and basic splicing) minimizing airflow interference.
  • Decommissioning & E-Waste: Safely remove legacy equipment, secure/document HDDs for shredding, and coordinate with e-waste vendors.
  • Remote Hands Support: Provide Level 1 support including power cycles, component swaps, cable tracing, visual verifications, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Asset & Data Management: Maintain absolute accuracy in inventory records; log and update tasks within ServiceNow CMDB and DCIM systems.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 1-5 years of relevant data center or hands-on IT infrastructure experience.
  • Systems: Hands-on experience using ServiceNow , CMDB , or DCIM tools.
  • Cabling & Hardware: Familiarity with low-voltage electrical work, rack layouts, and structured copper/fiber cabling standards.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, independent problem-solving skills, and meticulous documentation habits.

  • Corning Fiber Installation (CFI)
  • Panduit or CommScope SYSTIMAX
