Job description

Are you ready to lead an HR function-not simply inherit an established playbook?
Moore Industries is a growing industrial general contractor specializing in self-performed civil construction, industrial buildings, industrial HVAC, and facility maintenance across the Gulf Coast. We deliver complex projects with a commitment to safety, integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to help prepare our organization and workforce for continued growth. Working directly with executive and business-unit leadership, you will translate business priorities into effective workforce strategies while serving as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees.
This role is accountable for the full HR function, including:
  • HR operations
  • organizational development
  • talent acquisition
  • performance and employee development
  • employee relations
  • compensation and benefits
  • compliance
This role will support a workforce of professional, office, field, and craft employees while helping Moore Industries attract strong talent, develop organizational capability, and maintain a consistent employee experience.
This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional who combines strategic thinking with practical execution. You should be comfortable operating independently, influencing leaders, navigating complex employee matters, and creating HR practices that can support a growing project-based organization. The position manages the HR function and its outcomes and currently has no direct reports.
What You Bring
  • Five or more years of broad, progressively responsible HR experience
  • Strong business acumen and sound employee-relations judgment
  • Experience in talent acquisition, performance management, benefits, and employment compliance
  • Experience evaluating HR processes or technology, recommending improvements, and leading successful implementation and adoption
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • Construction, industrial services, manufacturing, skilled-trades, or project-based experience is preferred
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is also preferred

Moore Industries offers competitive compensation, benefits, a 401(k), supportive leadership, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the company's future.
If you are energized by building organizational capability and leading an HR function through growth, we invite you to apply.
