Job description

Inventory Clerk – Central Hub

Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular counts, ensuring stock levels are accurate, and meeting operational needs for the Vertique System. While administrating inventory transactions, the Inventory Clerk utilizes a warehouse management system and will maintain inventory levels, including dates and product in backstock locations essential to the success of our Distribution Center operations through effective inventory management.

Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, holidays.

Maintain organized storage of inventory to facilitate efficient product moves and minimize damage. Verify items are in their specific locations as per the WMS by code description and date. Provide a detailed description of findings to the Inventory Supervisor.

Move product as needed with the forklift to maintain consistency between the physical and WMS inventories. Rotate products in the locations as per the close by date following First Expires/ First Out (FEFO).

Identify and report any damaged or defective items.

Ensure that all products are stored in compliance with the close date, safety, and quality standards.

Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and periodically (weekly) wall-to-wall counts utilizing RF scanners, to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Reconcile physical counts inventory and warehouse management system discrepancies, adjusting inventory accordingly. Solving and supporting to solve it, with efficiency in a timely manner for the Vertique System daily start up.

Assist Inventory Supervisor to resolve any inventory data discrepancies such as an empty location showing product in WMS, VIP, wrong SKUs, inventory variances, wrong dates, among others.

Accurately enter inventory data into the warehouse management system, ensuring the integrity of the adjustments.

Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.

Must attend all End of Month (EOM) cycle counts which could require weekend duty.

Must verify and confirm all counts as detailed by the Inventory Supervisor within the prescribed timeline.

Must attend and participate in the End of Year Inventory (EOY) which could require holiday duty, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

Research and count zero picks. Provide analysis through Microsoft Office tools or other reporting tools to Management. Adjust inventory, as necessary.

Research and count close/out of date product. Adjust inventory, as necessary.

Support the management of closed dated process weekly and report to Supervisor to ensure timely shipments of close dated product.

Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or concerns related to inventory management.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety regulations.

Adhere to the established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program GMPs as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.

Other assigned duties as needed.

Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.

Work environment: Working conditions will require both inside warehouse needs and outside. Temperature conditions will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold.

· All tasks within the warehouse are physically demanding and labor-intensive. Employees within this role are required to:

· Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach and climb up and down stairs throughout shift.

· Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth). Must be able to distinguish between red, green, and "off" lights.

· Ability to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees.

· Ability to work in a fast paced and warm environment, especially during summer months.

· Sense of Sound - Hearing is required for the total workday.

· Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – high visibility shirt or safety vest, slip resistant shoes, mask, eye protection, etc.

· Position requires physical presence within Vertique system at the Central Hub.
