Job description

As a rapidly growing organization, Vitana Pediatric & Orthodontic Partners is looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an early-career data professional who wants hands-on experience building the data infrastructure and reporting capabilities that support a growing, multi-location healthcare organization.

The Data Analyst will work closely with leadership to help organize, validate, and transform data from multiple practice management systems into reliable, actionable information. This individual will play an important role in developing Vitana's centralized data warehouse and ensuring our teams have accurate data to make better business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and maintaining normalized data schemas for key business and operational metrics, including production, collections, appointments, treatment starts, and other practice-level KPIs.
  • Build and maintain data extraction processes to pull information from multiple Practice Management Systems across Vitana's locations.
  • Develop validation processes to ensure data is complete, accurate, and consistent across systems.
  • Reconcile data within the centralized data warehouse against existing practice and corporate reporting.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts used for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Vitana's centralized data warehouse.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting using BI tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, or Tableau.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Marketing, and other departments to understand reporting needs and translate business questions into meaningful analysis.
  • Identify inconsistencies, trends, and opportunities within large datasets and communicate findings clearly to business stakeholders.
  • Assist with documentation of data sources, definitions, processes, and reporting logic.
  • Support ongoing improvements to Vitana's data infrastructure as the organization continues to grow and add practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant professional experience; strong recent graduates with applicable internships, projects, or technical experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with or building data warehouses such as Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Redshift, or similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Power BI, Google Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to validate and reconcile data across multiple sources.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment where priorities may evolve.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Healthcare, dental, or multi-location business experience is a plus, but not required.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, analytical, and excited about solving problems with data. The ideal candidate doesn't just pull numbers, they want to understand where the data comes from, whether it is accurate, and how it can be used to help the business operate more effectively.

This is an opportunity to join Vitana at an exciting stage of growth and have a meaningful role in building the data foundation that will support the organization as we continue to scale.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.
