Job description

Job Duties:

Integration Management & Scalability

  • Manage and streamline the growing queue of data file integrations across our entire customer base.
  • Balance the technical support requirements of existing client integrations with the active onboarding and scoping of new customer accounts.
  • Map out, build, and maintain custom integration pipelines that accommodate specific client nuances, ensuring data reliability without a unified multi-tenant architecture.
  • Utilize [Healthie’s GraphQL API reference, queries, and mutations](1.2.1, 1.3.8) to design accurate, efficient data-mapping payloads for internal engineering teams.
  • Actively document processes, create template schemas, and cross-train team members to distribute knowledge and workload away from single-resource bottlenecks.
  • Partner directly with new clients to gather requirements, review custom data specifications, and map their legacy data architectures.
  • Author comprehensive technical user stories, system data mappings, and precise acceptance criteria to guide data engineering sprint goals.
  • Provide life-cycle monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous maintenance for custom file transfers, automated webhooks, and active integrations.
  • Act as our resident expert on Healthie system architecture, clinical fields, and backend reporting tools.
  • Leverage the Healthie API and webhook events to ingest demographic, scheduling, and billing data cleanly into our core reporting environments.
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance data boundaries when managing Protected Health Information (PHI) during custom bulk data transitions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in Data Product Management, Technical Program Management, or Data Integration Engineering.
  • 3 years experience with GraphQL concepts (the ability to read a schema, query data fields, and understand mutations) alongside intermediate SQL proficiency to validate data payloads independently.
  • 3 years’ experience handling high-volume file integrations, flat-file ingestion pipelines (CSV, XML, JSON), or custom SFTP client endpoints.
  • 1 year of hands-on experience navigating the backend structure, custom charting templates, and extraction patterns of the Healthie EMR.
  • 3+ years writing technical user stories, translating client specifications into development frameworks, and optimizing backlogs in Jira or Asana.
  • Ability to identify data translation errors, map single-tenant variations, and systematically resolve integration breaks.

Preferred

  • Strong GraphQL and SQL proficiency to validate file integration data payloads independently.
  • Prior experience working in an early-to-mid stage digital health startup experiencing high scaling demands.
  • Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HL7 or FHIR
