Job description

American Heritage School is a mission-driven, faith-centered private school aligned with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are seeking a Print Magazine Graphic Designer to work on our annual print magazine-an 80 to 100-page magazine telling the story of American Heritage in a compelling way to potential families and donors.
Nature of the Role
This position is considered a faith-forming role within American Heritage School. The Print Magazine Graphic Designer is expected to actively support, model, and teach principles consistent with the Mission and values of AHS and the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints through the print magazine.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a proven graphic design background. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Understanding of brand, digital concept/design/illustration creation, print and digital asset development, visual brand awareness. Must have competent design and communication skills and have previous experience working with Adobe design software. Strong candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, be flexible, have the ability to meet deadlines, with a keen eye for aesthetics and details. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with print/magazine design preferred

  • The ability to use design as a tool to build better disciples of Jesus Christ and Christian character.
  • A commitment to actively participate in and contribute to a faith-based educational environment aligned with the teachings and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
