SUMMARY
The CNC Operator plays a crucial role in maximizing productivity and efficiency in the production of large format products. This position requires a commitment to Lean Manufacturing principles, minimizing downtime and maximizing machine uptime. This role demands a collaborative team player with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to perform under pressure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensures performance and quality standards are consistently met, contributing to the production of top-quality large format products.
- Produces and dispatches products on schedule, adhering to deadlines.
- Organizes, prepares, and loads printed materials onto the CNC machine, utilizing the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to optimize workflow.
- Utilizes CNC EG-Enroute software to prepare cut files for the production process.
- Executes the cutting of all large format products, ensuring precision and quality.
- Aims to achieve expert knowledge of all CNC products, materials, and tools associated with operating the CNC machine.
- Provides ongoing training to other team members on the operation of the CNC machine and its software, enhancing team capabilities.
- Under the guidance of the Large Format Manager, executes daily and weekly preventative maintenance and addresses production and shipping needs to maintain continuous operation.
- Communicates supply needs and maintains inventory levels to ensure production processes are uninterrupted.
- Adheres to safety procedures and regulations while applying Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency.
- Acts as Flatbed Printer Operator backup when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
