JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the daily inspection and overall upkeep and maintenance of hotel building and grounds.
  • Clean & care for buildings, facilities, and exterior of property to ensure they are maintained in a safe, clean and neat condition.
  • Perform a range of landscaping operations that may include using garden and landscaping equipment for mowing, painting, pruning, trimming, installation of plant material, care of flowers and bedding plants.
  • Repair damaged grounds areas.
  • Notify management of any repairs needed (lighting, public areas, parking lot, etc.).
  • Spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, and trees.
  • Assist with performing minor electrical and mechanical repairs
  • Empty all common area waste baskets and keep receptacles clean
  • Attend safety meetings & other related meetings.
  • Respond to guest requests and questions and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property.
  • Must be 18 years old due to operating heavy machinery
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • No formal education required.
  • Previous experience in similar role/landscaping preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
  • Knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.
  • Excellent time management skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
