Job Description:

  • Person must have 10+ years of matured and large program PMO experience
  • Person must be very well experienced & should have been practicing following key pillars of PMO methods
    • Project Prioritization & Governance
    • Resource Planning & Scheduling
    • Resource Optimization
    • Workflow Management
    • Stakeholder Management
    • Knowledge Management
  • Create project Plan, get signoff, track and monitor the progress, highlight any Risk and work on mitigation strategy
  • Develop standard project selection criteria to prioritize projects in the pipeline based on strategic goals, resource availability, and potential ROI.
  • Must have good experience on Project management tools e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira etc.
  • Define and implement methodologies and a governance framework including risk management, change control, and quality assurance processes to ensure that projects are initiated, executed, and monitored in accordance with the set guidelines.
  • Forecast the resource demand for the pipeline projects in the opportunity or approval stage and assess available resources and their attributes. Accordingly, they identify resource gaps and develop comprehensive resource plans. This helps strategically allocate resources according to the demand and meet project objectives and deadlines effectively.
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of human, equipment, financial, and other resources to meet organizational objectives. Further, it also tracks resource usage and identify instances of over or underutilization.
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless workflow management throughout the project lifecycle. This includes establishing standardized workflows for resource requisition, allocation, etc and implementing templates, tools and technologies to streamline project execution. Moreover, PMO also evaluates and recommends improvements to optimize operations for enhanced efficiency.
  • Facilitate clear communication channels between stakeholders and project managers to ensure alignment of goals, expectations, and activities throughout the project lifecycle. This includes regular status updates, progress reports, and meetings with key stakeholders. All of this helps in gathering feedback, addressing stakeholder concerns, and managing conflicts for successful delivery
  • Maintain a centralized repository where project plans, templates, lessons learned, and best practices are stored and made easily accessible to project teams and stakeholders. Additionally, the PMO provides training and development opportunities for managers and team members to enhance their project management skills and competencies.
