Job Posting TitleSr. Dir. Trade Client Relations - RemoteJob DescriptionThe Senior Director, Trade Client Relations is responsible for providing strategy direction to a client facing team of Directors and Sr. Directors who proactively bringing innovative pharmacy and medical rebate strategies and cost saving solutions to Prime's clients. The Senior Director, Trade Client Relations provides strategic oversight to ensure their team has an in depth understanding of Prime's strategic concepts as it relates to trade relations, setting appropriate shared goals. In addition, this position works collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to measure and deliver financial opportunities to Prime's clients consistent with Prime's strategies and intiatives. Additionally, the Senior Director, Trade Client Relations has responsibility for managing their own assigned client relationships for all Trade related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Trade Client Relations team segment (either Full-Service or Partial-Service clients), including execution of a clear department vision and execution of goals, prioritization of strategic initiatives, and providing coaching and feedback to staff
  • Manage a client facing team, ensuring effective, collaborative relationship management as well as translation and pull through of rebate formulary strategies
  • Provide oversight of a team working with Prime's clients to translate complex client savings goals into rebate and cost saving opportunities, support rebate related product development, implementation and enhancement
  • Demonstrate an in depth understanding of rebate guarantees, pharmaceutical manufacturer rebate agreements and drug trends; provide proactive strategic and cost saving consultation. Provide a deep understanding of market dynamics impacting client strategies and rebate attainment
  • Provides oversight and direction on best practices to provides clients with analysis and consultation on formulary and medical drug management strategies including UM policy guidance
  • Oversee manufacturer contract analysis and oversee client modeling of class-specific pharmacy and medical rebate strategies that create financial savings opportunities for client organizations; enhance client adoption and provide proactive strategic consultation around (Value Based) contracts including reporting and payment activities
  • Lead team in supporting clients in making formulary decisions at client specific Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P & T) committee meetings including presenting to, modeling for and compiling feedback on formulary decisions; additionally, facilitate pharmacy Utilization Management Criteria and ensure medical policy is aligned with rebate contracts to maximize rebate value
  • Supports the direction of new client implementation including initial sales RFP/RFI consultative support such as rate review and strategy considerations for alignment prior to go-live date. Attend prospective client meetings as the SME for client rebate related topics
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management or other related field of study
  • 10 years of related work experience in healthcare, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), pharmaceutical sales, analytical contracting or business development; also to include
  • 4 years of related work experience in Trade/Rebates, or formulary development or
  • 7 years of related work experience in client management or 5 years people management / leadership experience

Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills, with demonstrated communication and financial presentation skills to all levels of management and to external clients
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships internal and external, at all levels within an organization
  • Expert negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven financial analysis and data analysis skills, with advanced proficiency in Access/Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience reading and interpreting contract language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy Degree, or other related advanced degree
  • Experience with client management, particularly as it relates to managing formulary strategy.
  • Experience within the PBM industry and/or health plans, particularly rebates, drug spend and formulary strategiesBroad understanding of PBM industry, operations, and business strategies

Potential pay for this position ranges from $164,000.00 - $279,000.00 based on experience and skills.
