D2 Government Solutions is seeking a full time qualified candidate for P-3 Flight Engineer Instructor at our National Air Training Center - East / OpSTAR Support Services location in Jacksonville, Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom and simulator instruction on P-3 aircraft systems, normal procedures, emergency procedures, crew resource management, and Flight Engineer duties.
  • Evaluate student knowledge, proficiency, aircraft/flight-operation skills, risk management, and positional skills in accordance with CBP/AMO policies.
  • Demonstrate normal and emergency procedures in the P-3 Operational Flight Simulator for students to emulate.
  • Create realistic, experience-appropriate training scenarios for aircrew students at multiple experience levels.
  • Develop and update lesson plans, classroom materials, simulator scenarios, grade sheets, quizzes, exams, and study materials.
  • Administer, grade, file, and upload systems quizzes and systems/procedures exams to OpSTAR as required.
  • Coordinate training-event calendars and support proficiency certification for users of AMO-owned P-3 simulators.
Qualifications
  • FAA Flight Engineer Certificate or military equivalent preferred.
  • 3-5 years as a Flight Engineer Instructor in P-3 aircraft; experience must be recent, no more than 2 years prior to hire.
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety protocols, crew resource management, and simulator instruction.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of P-3 Orion avionics, navigation systems, engines, mission equipment, and aircraft systems.
  • Familiarity with instructing in a flight simulator environment preferred.
CAC: Yes

Security Clearance: CBP suitability with Tier 4 (T4) or Tier 5 (T5) background investigation as assigned by position sensitivity; security clearance only if classified access is required.

Computer Systems Experience: OpSTAR training-record system, P-3 Operational Flight Simulator/OFT systems, simulator scenario and grading tools, Microsoft 365 / SharePoint, and standard Government-approved collaboration tools.
