What You'll Do

Are you a finance transformation expert ready to take your expertise to the next level leading Workday Adaptive Planning implementations? At Cohen & Co, we prioritize a people-first culture and professional growth, giving you the opportunity to work directly with clients on meaningful, high-impact engagements.

As a Manager on our Office of the CFO team, you will lead full-lifecycle Workday Adaptive Planning implementations, guiding clients through discovery, design, build, and enablement with precision and strategic insight. This role offers exposure to complex client structures, the chance to provide strategic insights, and the opportunity to grow your career within a collaborative, learning-focused environment where your contributions truly make an impact.

Implementation & Delivery

  • Lead full-lifecycle Workday Adaptive Planning implementations across the key project phases: Discovery & Assessment, Design & Document, Build & Deploy, and Train & Enable.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, including systems/data and integration mapping, budget process walkthroughs, and budget model and template deep-dives.
  • Create Adaptive design documentation, define user roles and security, and secure client review and sign-off on design.
  • Lead core Adaptive configuration, data source and loader integration development, historical data loads, and planning/budget module development.
  • Develop driver-based planning, collaborative planning, dynamic reporting, and OfficeConnect reporting capabilities for clients.

Client Experience

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for client finance leadership throughout the engagement.
  • Translate client budgeting, planning, and forecasting requirements into scalable Adaptive solutions.
  • Advise on FP&A process optimization, financial modeling, and enterprise performance management best practices.
  • Consider controls, governance, and SOX implications within solution design.
  • Lead continuous project and change management activities across engagements.
  • Develop user guides and role-based playbooks for Adaptive.
  • Conduct training and user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with key stakeholders to drive adoption.

Team Leadership

  • Manage engagement scope, budgets, timelines, staffing, and fees, and support scoping and engagement letter development.
  • Mentor and develop staff, seniors, and offshore team members, and review deliverables for quality and accuracy.
  • Identify cross-service opportunities across the Office of the CFO (ERP implementation, managed FP&A, technical accounting, and outsourced accounting).
Who You Are

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance transformation, or EPM consulting.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive Insights), including configuration, integrations, and model/template design.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, planning, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
  • Proven project management skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and client relationship skills.

Preferred Experience

  • CPA, CMA, or relevant Workday Adaptive certification.
  • Experience serving closely held, private equity-backed, or publicly traded operating companies.
  • Familiarity with adjacent finance technologies (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, close management, and BI/reporting tools).
  • Experience with change management and finance operating model design.
