Job description

The Senior Financial Manager will provide support for the Distribution business unit.  The role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to a strong internal control environment, including making recommendations for improvements. The role will also be actively involved with analyzing financial information and trends, as well as providing support for financial forecasts and annual plans.  This role will serve as the lead for system implementations specific to the business unit.

This position is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Wood Dale, IL, with a planned relocation to the Merchandise Mart (Chicago) in early 2027.

What you will be responsible for: 

  • Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
  • Provides idea leadership to enable the business to improve inventory turns and cash flow generation.
  • Prepares financial data for BOD meetings and planning session presentations.
  • Forecasts revenues and expenses in support of a 3-year business plan.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $155,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a bonus. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
