Stream Mindful Medication, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote role. This position will focus on providing mental health support to individuals dealing with weight management challenges, such as obesity and binge eating. The role of Licensed Mental Health Counselor is a remote position, allowing for flexibility in managing your schedule while contributing to our outpatient clinic. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues virtually and participate in case discussions that enhance patient outcomes. With a typical workweek of 36 hours, we also offer accommodations for a 32-hour schedule, all without on-call obligations. Our work days are Monday through Friday, allowing for a work-life balance.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments focused on issues related to weight loss, obesity, and binge eating disorders.
• Utilize standardized testing to guide treatment recommendations and therapy selection for each patient.
• Provide individualized counseling to address the psychological challenges faced by patients in their weight management journeys.
• Design and implement tailored treatment programs that align with the unique needs and preferences of each patient.
• Educate patients about the psychological factors affecting weight management, enhancing their understanding and commitment to treatment.
• Collaborate closely with medical specialists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Facilitate supportive group therapy sessions that foster peer connections and enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Track patient progress diligently, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records using the EPIC EMR system.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on the latest mental health and weight control strategies.
• Participate in training and teaching opportunities as they arise, contributing to both personal and team growth.
• Uphold ethical standards, including patient confidentiality, while promoting a collaborative workplace.

Our Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with adults who are facing challenges related to obesity and disordered eating patterns. This patient population often experiences co-occurring mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety, which we strive to address comprehensively through tailored interventions. By understanding the unique psychological aspects of our patients' struggles, you will directly contribute to improved health outcomes and enhanced quality of life.

• A master's degree in mental health counseling or a related field.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of Florida.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Physical ability to occasionally lift or move up to 15 pounds, as well as meet visual acuity requirements for assessment tasks.

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in obesity treatment, disordered eating therapy, or in working within a multidisciplinary team setting will find this role particularly rewarding. Familiarity with electronic medical records, especially the EPIC system, will be advantageous.

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000, reflecting your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package, including:
