What We Are Looking For
Baylor Athletics is seeking a motivated, elite worker to be our Senior Director / Assistant AD of Fan Experience. This individual will oversee the fan experience and game presentation efforts for Men's Basketball and Men's Tennis. In addition to their sport oversights, this individual will oversee our two Associate Directors of Fan Experience and our Assistant Director of Fan Experience. This role will also spearhead our student work program and lead on-field operations during Football game days.
Ultimately, the goal of this position is to increase the attendance, revenue, and fan atmosphere at their assigned sports.
A bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience is required. A master's degree with 5 years is preferred.
All applicants must be eligible to work in the US on a full-time basis.
What Will You Do
  • Develop and execute fan experience plans for their assigned sports of Men's Basketball and Men's Tennis
  • Assist the Assoc. AD of Marketing and Fan Experience with Football on-field efforts and fan experience initiatives
  • Produce Men's Basketball game days from start to finish by making scripts, graphics, on-court elements, giveaway items, concourse activations, and high-energy moments to enhance the fan experience
  • Communicate definitively and clearly to a team of individuals during high pressure, time sensitive in-game moments
  • Oversee and manage the two Associate Directors of Fan Experience and the Assistant Director of Fan Experience
  • Oversee the Student Worker Program to ensure that we have a high-level, committed student worker staff that is consistently helping at events
  • Collaborate with the sponsorship team to make sure all sponsorship inventory is being addressed effectively
  • Ability to rethink how we execute each game day initiative year-over-year so that our game days always are fresh for fans and not repetitive of previous seasons
  • Collaborate with other external staff members to ensure an excellent fan experience at each event
  • Collaborate with the athletics ticket office to effectively drive attendance and revenue for assigned sports
  • Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and to communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 4+ years of full-time experience working in athletics fan experience with a strong background in game presentation
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, ShoFlo, Microsoft Office, and music programs
  • Responsive and effective communicator over digital communication and in-person
  • Experienced leader who is prepared to manage full-time staff and push those around them to be at their best
  • A deep passion for working in college athletics
