The Role

We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Heavy Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and executing petroleum system maintenance projects that fall outside of standard service and new construction scopes. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can independently manage field work, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards without direct supervision.

Sign-On Bonus – $5,000

  • $2,500 paid upon the employee's start date.
  • $2,500 paid after the employee successfully completes six months of employment.

Relocation Assistance – Up to $5,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform heavy maintenance work on petroleum fueling systems at commercial and retail sites
  • Execute repairs and replacements including, but not limited to:
    • Spill bucket repair and replacement
    • STP (Submersible Turbine Pump) repair and replacement
    • Containment sump repairs and upgrades
    • Drop tube replacements
    • Underground and aboveground piping repairs
  • Diagnose system issues and develop effective field solutions with minimal guidance
  • Mobilize, manage, and complete jobs independently or with small crews
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, and inspectors as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, photos, and material tracking
  • Identify additional repair needs and communicate potential change orders or scope gaps
  • Uphold jobsite safety standards, including proper PPE use and hazard recognition

Qualifications:

  • Minimum [5] years of hands-on experience in petroleum service, maintenance, or construction
  • Strong working knowledge of fuel systems, including tanks, piping, and dispensing equipment
  • Proven ability to perform heavy maintenance tasks independently from start to finish
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in the field (lead technician or foreman level)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications related to petroleum equipment or environmental compliance
  • Experience with testing, inspections, and regulatory requirements
  • OSHA safety training (10/30-hour)

What We’re Looking For:
This is not an entry-level or helper position. We are looking for a true lead technician—someone who can be dispatched to a job, take ownership of the work, make informed decisions in the field, and deliver results without constant oversight.

Compensation and Benefits

  • 10 Paid Holidays
  • Flexible Time Off
  • 401(k) Company Match
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
