This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Manager/Leader to support our ongoing and future space exploration projects. This role will directly impact the history of space exploration and require a commitment to safe and repeatable space flight.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for integrating the Lunar Operations team into the Blue Origin Operations team, leveraging tools and processes across various manufacturing teams.

  • Leads multiple projects to support the deployment of the Operational Strategy.

  • Executes and adapts the Rhythm of Business with the Lunar Operations team and Program teammates.

  • Manages Lunar Operations Risk Management and CapEx Management processes.

  • Communicates effectively at all levels and supports organization development initiatives.

  • Defines project requirements, identifies interdependencies with internal or external departments or service providers, and coordinates to receive their input.

  • Tracks program progress, adoption, or performance and provides ongoing reports to leadership/program sponsors.

  • Develops and disseminates communications (Internal and External) regarding the program and answers questions

  • Facilitate change management activities to evaluate, coordinate, and approve new requirements or changes.

  • Participate in regular meetings with the Lunar Operations Leadership Team and the Lunar Business Unit to evaluate and overcome organizational barriers.

  • Provide recommendations for effective, efficient, focused, and adaptive decision-making in a high-velocity, intense aerospace environment.

  • Ensure information is appropriately gathered, organized, rendered, and presentable to maximize decision speed.

  • Influence leadership to deliver on strategic business goals with a planned approach, on time and on target.

Foundational Skills and Experience:

  • Well-developed project-management skills; organized, focused, with attention to detail and consistent follow-up to ensure results.

  • Excellent attention to details; manages both tactical and strategic-level information. Excellent organizational skills are necessary.

  • Excellent "people skills," including the ability to influence by persuasion without direct authority.

  • Business savvy, including an understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and technology.

  • Strong communication skills for effective messaging both "up" to executives and "down" to the workforce.

  • Demonstrated domain experience operating within at least one corporate function (Engineering, Business Management, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Configuration Management, preferred).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preference toward Engineering or Business Disciplines.

  • 8-10 years of relevant program management/operational experience.

  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, data.

  • Ability to balance technical, business, and organizational influences.

  • Demonstrated history of independent work, foreseeing problems, delivering on commitments, and accountability.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering, business, or project management.

  • 6+ years of experience in an operations environment.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
