Business Development Manager โ€“Energy & Power
Rittal is a leading global provider of solutions for industrial enclosures, power distribution, climate control, and IT infrastructure, as well as software and services. We design and manufacture the worldโ€™s leading industrial and IT enclosures, racks, and accessories, including high-efficiency, high-density power management, and climate control systems for industrial, data center, outdoor, and hybrid applications.

Primary Activities/Duties

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Energy & Power markets, including EVCI, BESS, Data Centers, renewables, and power grid sectors.
  • Uncover and Identify power distribution systems and projects
  • Identify potential Busbar bar applications 
  • Educate Electrical Engineering personnel to introduce Busbar as a primary distribution solution
  • Deliver technical presentations for vertical markets and power distribution
  • Bring together different company resources and collaborate on large projects
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to shape messaging and promotional strategies for social media and sales collateral.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and strategic partners.
  • Represent Rittal at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to nurture long-term relationships.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with Eplan to deliver integrated solutions and maximize customer value.
  • Develop use cases and application samples to support sales efforts.
  • Serve as a liaison between U.S. operations and German headquarters to align global strategies.

Requirements

  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally for customer visits, events, and internal meetings.
  • Strong backround in Engineering and technical Sales
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Electrical Components, Circuit Breakers, Motor Starters, Drives, Fuseblocks
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP (APO PP/DS preferred), Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and PDM/PLM systems.
  • Analytical mindset with a collaborative spirit and agile approach to change.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketingโ€”preferably in the manufacturing or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing ecosystem and energy market dynamics.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with integrated solutions and technical sales in energy infrastructure.
