Job description

JOB TITLE: IT Operations System Administrator
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Length: 6+ months
JOB SUMMARY:
Analyze user computing requirements to implement hardware and software solutions and provide on-going lifecycle maintenance. Design, create, document and implement automation solutions using enterprise class automation systems (e.g. SCCM, AV, VSphere, Citrix) to meet user requirements, security standards and best practices. Diagnose and independently resolve on-site or remote user computing systems incidents and underlying problems including high complexity, multi-location impacting incident management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Advanced knowledge of end user computing environments a must
  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC desktop hardware and software including MS Windows XP, Windows 7, MS Office suites and related products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Project, etc), web browsers, and utility applications such as anti-virus, file management, desktop deployment, backup software and mobile devices
  • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
  • Strong systems analysis abilities including working directly with users
  • High quality incident and problem diagnosis and resolution skills
  • Strong customer service skills
