JOB TITLE: End User Computing Design Lead
CLIENT: ย A prominent Pharma Company.
CONTRACT: 6 months initial contract - with a possibility of extension - possibility to be an employee based.
LOCATION: Marlborough Massachusetts 01752
Pay: To be discussed over the phone
First Shift
Duties:
Work independently, under general direction from the Associate Director of End User Services as well as the Desktop Management Systems Engineer
Assist in the configuration of the following Management System installations, their solutions, options, and policies for optimal use:
Client Management System
Includes Software Management, Desktop/Laptop imaging, OS Patching
Asset Management System
Support and planning of an Enterprise sized Desktop Infrastructure System
Design, test, implement, and document specifications for Desktop/Laptop OS
Provide procedures for testing, configuration, and implementation of desktops
Other responsibilities and duties
Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into IT solutions
Deliver technical solutions as per specified plans, deliverables, costs and timelines
Act as liaison for outside vendors during installation, rearrangement, repair and/or removal of equipment or services
Work closely with Desktop Management Systems Engineer to ensure that procedures are consistent with desktop support procedures
Provide technical and project leadership in fully documenting relevant systems and processes as necessary
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Client Management Systems such as SCCM and Symantec Management Platform (Altiris)
Evaluate and implement additional Management Platform modules or additional solutions at the enterprise level as needed.
Provide technical leadership in developing and implementing operational standards and procedures
Provide technical and project leadership in planning, design, implementation and support of all projects requiring any of the Client Management System tools
Experience with Service Now
SQL server/database experience a plus
B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
