Job description

Overview: We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). As a vital part of our community's emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing firefighting and emergency medical services to protect lives and property during emergencies. This role requires bravery, compassion, and a commitment to serving others in times of crisis.

Responsibilities:

  1. Fire Suppression:
    • Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergencies, including structure fires, vehicle fires, and wildfires.
    • Operate firefighting equipment such as hoses, extinguishers, and pumps to extinguish fires and protect life and property.
    • Conduct search and rescue operations to locate and evacuate individuals trapped in burning buildings or other hazardous situations.
    • Perform fire prevention activities, including conducting inspections and educating the public about fire safety.
  2. Emergency Medical Response:
    • Provide emergency medical care to individuals at the scene of accidents, medical emergencies, and other incidents.
    • Assess patients' conditions and administer basic life support (BLS) interventions, including CPR, bleeding control, and airway management.
    • Assist paramedics with advanced life support (ALS) procedures as needed, including administering medications and operating defibrillators.
