The location in Hawesville, (Kentucky, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Electrical/Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor. This job is full-time permanent.

E&I MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the key functions of the E & I Maintenance Supervisor are to lead efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment.  Candidate must have a personal dedication to safety, including proactive support of efforts to create a culture of safety excellence. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Supervise and support a crew of Journey-level Electrical-Instrumentation (EI) employees; identify & implement improvements in process & equipment reliability across their area of the Mill by working closely with operations & maintenance personnel; provide technical assistance, reliability leadership/support; responsible for rotating on-call responsibilities; review requests for work, initiate and/support work planning activity & oversee the work order flow to completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical/trade school diploma with emphasis in electrical technology and a minimum of three (3) years of maintenance supervision experience --OR-- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and one (1) year of maintenance supervision experience
  • Experience with installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems including PLC, VFD & power distribution.
  • Familiar with reliability-centered maintenance practices & predictive maintenance tools.
  • Strong equipment & system troubleshooting aptitude
  • Assist in performing root cause failure analysis to eliminate repetitive failures or chronic electrical maintenance needs.
  • Good written & oral communication skills needed to effectively communicate technical activities across all levels of the organization
  • Frequent walking, climbing ladders & stairs; crawling into confined spaces; measure/lift/carry objects of varying weights
  • Exposure to dust, heat, dirt, grease, chemicals, noise, various weather conditions & other industrial environments.
  • Able & willing to support the demands of a 24/7 operation

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical/trade school diploma with emphasis in mechanical technology and a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance supervision experience --OR-- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and three (3) years of maintenance supervision experience
  • Experience with installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems including PLC, VFD & power distribution.
  • Experience with SAP Enterprise system which includes Plant Maintenance management processes
  • Reliability centered maintenance training
  • Pulp and Paper experience
  • Presentation Skills - able to work with diverse group of people to resolve issues
  • Microsoft Office Products experience
