What You’ll Do

Order Processing & Data Accuracy

  • Enter and process customer sales orders accurately and on time.
  • Review orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, terms, freight details, and compliance with company policies.
  • Process multiple order types, including standard orders, website orders, emailed orders, and EDI orders.
  • Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and order information in company systems.

Customer Support & Communication

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer questions related to orders, pricing, product availability, and order status.
  • Communicate order confirmations, updates, backorders, changes, and shipment details to customers as needed.
  • Work with customers and internal teams to resolve order discrepancies, shortages, and other issues promptly.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales Account Managers to support customer needs and sales initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse teams to help ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipment of customer orders.
  • Work with Accounting to address billing questions, credits, and payment-related issues.
  • Communicate with Purchasing regarding product availability, backorders, and substitutions.

Documentation, Reporting & Process Support

  • Maintain organized and accurate order documentation and records.
  • Assist with reports related to order volume, order status, and customer activity.
  • Support audit and reconciliation activities related to sales orders and shipments.
  • Follow established procedures for order entry, processing, and communication.
  • Identify opportunities to improve order accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as needed to support Sales and Operations.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in order processing, customer service, sales support, or a related role.
  • Experience in a wholesale, distribution, or multi-channel order fulfillment environment.
  • Experience using an ERP system such as NetSuite.

Work Environment

  • This position operates in a standard office environment.
  • Full-time, non-exempt role.
