Job description

  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • The Echo Lab Tech will perform ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients. The skills required for this position include the ability to operate echocardiography equipment. Maintain quality control standards. Work independently with minimal supervision. Multi-task efficiently and effectively. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management, and peers. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • Graduate of school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or hold RDCS Certification

    • Minimum Experience
      • Cardiac Experience

    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • BLS upon hire
      • RDCS certified or eligible

    • Preferred Education
      • N/A

    • Preferred Experience
      • N/A

    • Preferred Registration/License/Certification
      • N/A

    • Other Requirements
      • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to sufficiently pinpoint area of imaging.
      • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
      • Must be able to act calmly and effectively in busy, stressful or emergency situations.
      • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone and in writing.
      • Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including standards for safety, attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
