General Description: The Pet Stylist is responsible for providing outstanding grooming services through friendly engagement with our guests.

What Your Day Will Look Like

The general duties of the Pet Stylist include but are not limited to:

- Always ensure the safety and well-being of pets under your care

- Communicate clearly with pet parents.

- Perform grooming services to breed standards and pet parentโ€™s preferences.

- Brush teeth, trim nails, express anal glands

- Creating a welcoming environment for pets and their owners

- Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by engaging and educating our guests in a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere

- Become familiar with and understand retail products, refer products to grooming guests when appropriate

- Learn and understand loyalty, savings programs, and monthly promotions

- Learn and understand scheduling system and daily procedures

- Promote follow up appointments and schedule appointments upon check out

- Maintain grooming area cleanliness and organization

- Follow daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and disinfection schedule

- Attend store meetings and trainings

Requirements:

General: Customer/Guest service and retail experience, preferably in the pet industry. Knowledge of pet related products. Demonstrated pet grooming experience with formal training certification.

Working Environment: This job operates in a retail environment with merchandise displays and inventory items available for purchase.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a variable hour position, days and hours of work will vary. This position requires flexibility to work within our normal store operating hours, including before and/or after hours and weekends. Overtime may be required at times. Time off restrictions between

Thanksgiving and Christmas with exceptions to medical appointments.

Travel: Occasional travel to other stores, meetings and events, at times before or after hours, is expected with this position.

Required Education/Experience:

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Grooming License (preferred)
  3. At least 2 years pet grooming experience
  4. You have experience working in a fast-paced environment
  5. You have experience managing multiple tasks at once
  6. You are an excellent time Manager
