Job description

We are looking for an Technical Architect / Technical Lead - IBM SFG to support secure file transfers and integration workflows using IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Connect: Direct in a 24×7 production environment. The role requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux/Unix, and tools like Jira, Postman, and PagerDuty. The candidate will be responsible for incident resolution, system monitoring, and ensuring reliable MFT operations across environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Solid working knowledge of IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting file transfers.
  • Experience with Connect:Direct, including scripting, connectivity setup, and file movement across internal/external systems.
  • Proficient in working with containerized environments, specifically with Docker and Kubernetes, including pod-level operations, deployment tasks, and real-time log analysis.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems, including shell scripting and command-line tools for monitoring and debugging.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and execute tasks precisely, with a clear understanding of the impact on shared environments (Dev, QA, Prod).
  • Proficient with Jira for managing tasks, issues, and change tracking across Agile or DevOps workflows.
  • Familiarity with Postman for testing and validating APIs, especially when working with integration or automation workflows.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
