Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney's linear networks and streaming content. This includes Disney's media supply chain, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney's EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Job Summary:

The Product Manager II (P2) will provide day-to-day support for a title management application and contribute towards efforts to consolidate, modernize, and streamline the title management ecosystem. Key responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing requirements and translating them into clear product specifications and user stories. This individual will work in a cross-functional team environment with design, engineering, infrastructure, and QA, to help evolve the title applications for the future business of The Walt Disney Company, enabling big rock streaming initiatives (Hotstar, Delta/ Gemini, etc.), and supporting the growth of our Direct-to-Consumer (Disney+, Hulu, etc.) streaming platforms.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Own a defined set of features within an application in the title management and enablement space, managing end-to-end delivery from requirements through launch; support backlog management and prioritization in collaboration with the product lead, ensuring stories are well-defined and sprint-ready
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, define, and document requirements; translate into clear product specifications, user stories, epics, workflows, process maps, and acceptance criteria
  • Proactively identify and propose feature improvements based on business goals, user feedback, and KPIs;
  • Analyze and evaluate trade-offs across scope, effort, and business value in collaboration with the product lead
  • Contribute to integration efforts with upstream and downstream partner systems, including requirements definition, testing, and operational readiness
  • Identify opportunities to streamline product features and enhance business processes
  • Develop and execute UAT test scripts and acceptance criteria; support release coordination and change management activities; track and report on feature outcomes against defined KPIs post-launch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA, product, and project management) to implement solutions aligned with product strategy and business objectives
  • Provide day-to-day product lifecycle support including leading or supporting Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives), removing blockers, and supporting cross-functional communication as new features are launched or processes evolve
  • Build and maintain product documentation, user guides, and training materials to support platform adoption and sustainment
  • Support additional activities as needed to meet product goals and business objectives

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of product management experience
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed organization while managing multiple initiatives and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated product understanding
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset; able to manage a defined set of features end-to-end with minimal supervision and begin to influence team decisions
  • Experience translating business needs into requirements, user stories, epics, workflows, and product specifications with clear acceptance criteria
  • Ability to craft and validate problems; identify pain points, incorporate user and stakeholder feedback, and propose feature enhancements grounded in data and metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create clear technical documentation, present feature updates, and build trust with stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams in agile delivery environments
  • Clear understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Ability to contribute to product roadmap definition and communicate priorities to stakeholders
  • Understanding of business modeling and cost/benefit analysis to support prioritization decisions
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across functional teams
  • Familiarity using modern AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, and/or product workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure or experience with Agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Prior work experience in title management
  • Knowledge of or experience in media & entertainment industry
  • Understanding of media production workflows, digital video workflows, or consumer-facing video product features
  • Familiarity with API-based integrations

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, and/or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $117,500.00 to $157,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
