Job Summary: We're seeking a manager of product software engineering who will lead our Apple App Foundation team responsible for the foundational components, libraries, and frameworks that power our Disney+ and Hulu Apple applications. The right person for this role is highly motivated, collaborative, and technical, with the ability to coordinate across teams and empower both themselves and others in striving for and achieving excellence. Everything we do directly affects millions of global consumers, their experience with our service, and impacts our business. In this role, you will own the day-to-day execution and technical health of the team, driving alignment with organizational OKRs while developing the next generation of engineers on your team. Responsibilities: * Manage an Apple platform engineering team; provide day-to-day guidance, direction, and career development. Accountable for individual and team performance, including 1:1s, career conversations, and resolution of performance issues. * Own iOS, tvOS, and visionOS application development for Disney+ and Hulu iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro. Set technical direction for the team in partnership with senior ICs, with deep hands-on familiarity with Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, and the broader Apple developer ecosystem. Review code and identify opportunities for quality and performance improvements. * Drive team-level planning and execution, break down requirements into actionable work, maintain team velocity, manage project milestones, and surface risks and blockers before they require escalation. * Collaborate across disciplines with UX designers, product managers, and QA to deliver a best-in-class Apple platform experience. Ensure team priorities remain coordinated with adjacent teams and organizational timelines. * Advocate for Apple platform engineering standards and best practices across teams. Proactively identify process improvements and align team work with org OKRs. Minimum Qualifications: * 8+ years of experience in mobile application development with expert knowledge of Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, and Apple frameworks and ecosystems. * 2+ years of direct people management or technical team leadership experience. * Experience leading an engineering team, including delegating responsibility and balancing competing priorities. * Demonstrated ability to set team goals, manage toward OKRs, and hold team members accountable for outcomes. * Experience partnering with stakeholders in Product and Design to curate a roadmap that meets the needs of the business while ensuring the ongoing health of your teams * Effective collaboration and communication skills, able to discuss technical topics clearly and engage in productive technical discussions. * High emotional intelligence, experience maintaining composure under high-pressure situations and meeting tight deadlines. * Strong project management skills, seeing projects through from inception to completion. Required Education : * Bachelor's degree or better in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent job experience. #DisneyTech The hiring range for this position in Seattle, WA is $179,700 - $241,000. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
