Job description

We are looking for full-time staff to join the Golf Course Greens and Grounds team!

The golf course Grounds Crew position maintains the golf course by mowing, trimming, top dressing, treating turf, maintaining bunkers, hole changing, hedge trimming, and general maintenance. This role operates golf course equipment and participates in daily set up of the golf course for play.


  • The position is a Monday to Friday and rotating weekends
    • Shifts Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts
    • Lunch is provided during open season
  • Year-round full-time work
  • Overtime is available

Responsibilities:

  • Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing blowing and raking
  • Set up the golf course at a high standard for members in a timely manner
  • Equipment you will use: walking and riding mowers, tractors, weed eater, backpack blowers, safety is expected using all equipment and candidates must be careful to follow all instructions with equipment and safety rules
  • Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify and address any issues or hazards
  • Able to learn and perform new job duties and learn new tools including machinery
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report any malfunctions for repairs to Mechanic
  • Collaborate with other groundskeeping staff to ensure efficient operations
  • Adapt quickly to new situations and new equipment
  • Be proficient in using hand tools and power tools common in groundskeeping tasks
  • Perform daily tasks as directed by management

Minimum Requirements:


  • You have a strong eye for detail to ensure the grounds are well maintained
  • You are able to work in a very physical position that requires outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Able to work in a team and independently
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Prefer previous golf course maintenance experience

Preferred:

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or Agronomy
  • You have two years or more of maintenance experience
  • Mastery of reel-type mowers, zero-turn riders, and walking greens mowers to ensure exact grass heights.
  • A deep understanding of different grass types (e.g., Bentgrass, Bermuda), their growth patterns, and specific maintenance protocols for varying climates.
  • Experience with tractors, loaders, backhoes, and aerators
