Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District enjoys the quiet rural aspects of small-town America while having proximity to cosmopolitan amenities.The Organization:Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.Recreation Shift Lead:The Recreation Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing the onsite administrative functions and activities of the Community Center during evening and weekend hours to promote a positive experience and ensure a safe and secure environment for all Community Center members, guests, and staff. As the onsite Recreation Shift Lead, this position will monitor and coordinate staff, events, and activities, manage emergencies, settle disputes, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service. Job Duties:Under the direction of the Member Services and Rental Supervisor, coordinate evening and weekend operations, including member services, activities, programs, events, and facility maintenance. Inspect rooms regularly and submit work orders as needed.Supports the recruitment, training, and ongoing performance of team members to ensure excellence in service delivery.Provides input to leadership regarding policies, strategies, and membership initiatives.Oversees the setup, use, and cleanup of special events, rentals, and programs. Manages room assignments, supplies, and schedules, while promoting awareness of Community Center offerings.Serves as the person in charge during evening and weekend shifts. Ensure the safety and security of all staff, members, and guests by enforcing facility policies, locking doors, setting alarms, and documenting incidents or concerns.Enforces all Community Center rules and District policies. Address and resolve issues involving staff, members, or guests with professionalism and fairness.Delivers exceptional customer service by answering questions, providing facility and program information, and assisting with member concerns.Oversees evening and weekend staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage and coordination of programs and activities.Engages with members to enhance their experience, monitor satisfaction, and strengthen brand loyalty to The Brushy Creek Life.Minimum Requirement:Maintain current certification/license, or ability to attain certification/license within 90 days of hire:American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.Must be able to work flexible work schedules and irregular hours including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings.Schedule:40 hours per week; Tuesday through Thursday (1:00 to 9:30 pm), Friday (11:00 am to 7:30 pm), and Saturday (6:30 am to 3:00 pm)Benefits:Retirement plan through the Texas County District Retirement System with a contribution match of 2 to 1 at retirementEmployee funded 457 optionCertification payLongevity payEmployee Community Center MembershipAccess to community pools and tennis courts50% Off Sports & Classes
