We manage the state park system and programs to inventory, interpret and protect Tennessee's rich natural, historical and archaeological heritage.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced golf course manager responsible for the overall management of the golf operation and course conditions while working cooperatively with other departments in the park.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversight of entire golf operation, including golf programming, golf play, golf shop, snack bar, and golf course maintenance. 2. Recruit, hire, train, motivate and supervise all golf course staff and maintain accurate payroll records. 3. Responsible for overall revenue generation, cost controls, player development and increasing overall profitability of the course. 4. Adhere to and enforce required fiscal and accounting policies related to accurate recordkeeping, payment of invoices, payment card processing, inventories, daily deposits, monthly reporting, etc. 5. Ensure systems controls are in place to safeguard assets, revenues, resources. 6. Maintain safety standards and safety equipment within Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. 7. Maintain course conditions in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in a business-related field such as Sports Management or a Professional Golf Management program. A Class A PGA Member or LPGA experience is preferred. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
