Job Summary

The Parts Inspector is responsible for performing dimensional inspections of precision parts and assemblies using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and other precision measuring instruments. This role ensures products meet engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications while supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional, in-process, receiving and final inspection
  • Setup and programming of CMM equipment
  • Measure and record all necessary quality inspection requirements
  • Validate, run and properly store programs used in CMM inspections
  • Calibrate inspection equipment as needed
  • Create non-conformities for parts that do not meet requirement


Requirements

  • Requires proficient computer skills including MS Office products. Database and ERP software knowledge is a plus
  • Excellence in professionalism and maturity in all actions and communications with leadership and fellow employees
  • Knowledge and experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience in CNC machine shops and a fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes
  • knowledge of quality control, inspection methods and use of measuring tools and CMM
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High School Education
