Job description

Digital Product Owner

The Digital Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering mobile app experiences that improve engagement, retention, productivity, and business growth for Brand Partners and Customers. This role connects business strategy, customer needs, stakeholder alignment, and technology delivery. The Product Owner owns the mobile app roadmap, backlog, requirements, release readiness, and customer feedback loop while ensuring development work supports measurable business outcomes. Direct mobile app product experience is preferred. An intermediate product owner with genuine passion, an ownership mentality, and technical prowess can also succeed in this role.

What You'll Do:

Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Define and maintain the product vision for the mobile app, translating company priorities into roadmap themes and measurable outcomes.
  • Evaluate product opportunities based on customer value, business impact, development effort, and strategic alignment, balancing near-term delivery needs with long-term direction.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a primary advocate for the mobile app users, including Brand Partners, Customers, field leaders, and internal teams.
  • Gather feedback through customer conversations, stakeholder interviews, support trends, surveys, and analytics.
  • Build trusted relationships with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Compliance, Operations, Analytics, Design, and Engineering, and represent customer needs when priorities and trade-offs are discussed.

Roadmap and Backlog Ownership:

  • Own and maintain the mobile app product roadmap and prioritized backlog.
  • Break roadmap priorities into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release-ready work.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning support, and scope trade-off discussions, keeping work aligned with team capacity and business urgency.

Product Delivery Leadership:

  • Partner closely with engineering, design, quality assurance, analytics, and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
  • Clarify requirements, remove ambiguity, and make timely decisions during development cycles.
  • Ensure delivered features meet business intent, customer expectations, and quality standards.

Beta Program and Release Management:

  • Own the beta program, including tester recruitment, cohort selection, onboarding, and communication cadence.
  • Define beta entry and exit criteria, test scenarios, and feedback channels, and lead triage of findings with engineering, design, and quality assurance.
  • Manage release readiness across app store submissions, staged rollouts, feature flags, and rollback plans.
  • Coordinate launch communication with business and field teams, and monitor post-release stability, adoption, and feedback.

Mobile App Experience Ownership:

  • Improve the end-to-end mobile app experience across onboarding, content discovery, notifications, messaging, account insights, business tracking, recognition, events, and AI-enabled support.
  • Increase user adoption, engagement, retention, and satisfaction across key audiences and markets.
  • Partner with design and analytics to identify friction points, prioritize improvements, and define how the mobile app fits into the broader digital ecosystem.

Data-Driven Product Management:

  • Define success metrics for major features and product initiatives.
  • Use analytics, customer feedback, support data, and business results to guide prioritization and to measure adoption, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Create clear recommendations based on evidence rather than opinion alone.

Innovation and Digital Transformation:

  • Identify practical opportunities to use AI, automation, personalization, and data-driven experiences inside the mobile app.
  • Evaluate new ideas through customer value, feasibility, business impact, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with technology and analytics teams to test and launch useful digital capabilities.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a developing Product Owner with 2-3 years of experience in digital products, product management or a related field. This role is ideal for someone who has a foundation in product ownership and is eager to continue growing their skills while contributing to meaningful product initiatives.
