JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading US Demand Planning activities for the Drunk Elephant brand, including Finished Goods and POSM.
As a key contributor within the US S&OP function at Shiseido Americas, this role is responsible for driving continuous improvement of US demand planning processes across all US domestic business units and demand planning groups for Shiseido. The role ensures the demand plan is aligned with US business objectives and financial targets, while supporting key supply chain performance metrics including service, inventory, excess & obsolete reduction, and forecast accuracy.
This role works closely with US commercial teams, key retail partners, and E-commerce to support effective demand consensus and execution through established and evolving demand planning processes.
The role requires the ability to effectively leverage SAP IBP demand planning functionality or future system implementations to improve forecast accuracy and cross-functional collaboration within the US and with global stakeholders.
The role requires direct experience creating innovation forecasts at granular SKU-by-retailer levels in monthly buckets, aligning and managing assumptions throughout the full launch lifecycle-from feasibility through shipment. This capability is a critical input into the new product development process for Shiseido in the US market.
Close collaboration with supply teams is essential to understand and communicate risks to future supply and to ensure risks are appropriately mitigated through the demand plan.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Prepare and review monthly saleable and POSM forecasts with related analysis for the US for 18MO horizon across a large and complex sku portfolio. The accuracy of the unit forecast has a direct impact on company inventory and customer service levels. Reconcile forecasted units to Gross Sales financial forecasts to ensure reasonableness.
  • Serves as a strong cross-functional partner to understand qualitative information from Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning as it affects future unit forecasted demand.
  • New launches' forecast preparation working closely with Marketing and Sales
  • Monthly Forecast Accuracy: Report results and issue root cause on inaccuracies, ensuring forecast reflects any results.
  • Continuously improving planning processes for brand by leveraging experience, building new capabilities, adapting to change, and benchmarking best practices across brands and markets.
  • Conduct regular business and performance reviews related to demand and supply of low stock skus with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the Excess & Obsolete (E&O) process to minimize inventory liabilities, drive root-cause analysis, and support action planning and execution.
  • Assist DP Lead in for the Monthly Executive S&OP meetings with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Sales Ops.
  • Prepare and lead monthly US Demand Pre-Consensus & Consensus meetings with Marketing, Sales, and Finance.
  • Other analyses and projects as needed.

WHO YOU ARE
  • You have a 4-year academic degree in a relevant field or related job experience
  • You have a minimum of 8 years of demand planning experience in a supply chain role.
  • You are a competent user of computerized IT systems - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other associated scheduling, forecasting software packages.
  • You have strong data management and analytic skills.
  • Prefer APICS exposure and CPIM certification.
  • You understand the end-to-end Supply Chain Functions and Linkage.
  • You have strong presentation and communication skills to engage with senior leadership.
  • You have a positive attitude of commitment to job/projects.
  • You are enthusiastic, creative and a team player.
  • SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is a plus

The base pay for this position may vary based on geographic location. Actual base pay offered will be based on several factors including job-specific knowledge, education, skills, and depth of experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as components of a total compensation package, including participation in our bonus program which features the ability to overachieve, in addition to a full range of competitive benefits.
