We provide extensive opportunities for personal and professional development, building both employee competence and organizational capability to fuel exceptional performance through an inclusive environment both now and in the future.

Position Summary The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Solutions/Data Architecture and Delivery provides enterprise leadership for Vizient's data and solution architecture while maintaining direct accountability for the delivery of data platforms, analytics solutions, and integrations that support Vizient members and internal operations. This role ensures that Vizient's data assets are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business strategy, regulatory expectations, and member value. The AVP balances long-term architectural stewardship with disciplined execution.

Success in this role is measured by stable platforms, trusted data, and predictable delivery-not experimentation for its own sake. Key Responsibilities - Architecture & Strategy - Define and govern Vizient's enterprise data and solution architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps. - Ensure architecture aligns with Vizient's mission to deliver actionable insights and performance improvement for healthcare members.

- Review and approve solution designs for major initiatives to ensure alignment with enterprise standards, cloud strategy, and data governance. - Promote pragmatic, durable architectures that support growth while controlling cost and complexity. Key Responsibilities - Delivery Leadership - Own delivery outcomes for Vizient's data platforms, analytics solutions, and system integrations.

- Establish and enforce disciplined delivery practices, including planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and quality controls. - Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and at an acceptable level of quality. - Hold internal teams and external partners accountable for results.

Key Responsibilities - Data Platforms & Analytics - Provide leadership over the architecture and delivery of data warehouses, data lakes, integration pipelines, and analytics tools. - Ensure data accuracy, availability, and usability for internal teams and Vizient members. - Partner with product, analytics, and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable, supportable data solutions.

- Ensure platforms support both operational and analytical use cases. Key Responsibilities - Governance, Security & Compliance - Ensure solutions align with Vizient's data governance, privacy, and security standards. - Partner with Information Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to address regulatory and contractual obligations.

- Proactively identify and address technical debt and architectural risk. Key Responsibilities - People & Vendor Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop architecture and delivery leaders and senior technical staff. - Set clear expectations, provide direct feedback, and build a culture of accountability.

- Manage system integrators and technology vendors to ensure value, performance, and alignment with Vizient standards. Stakeholder Partnership - Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business-focused terms. - Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on data and architecture decisions.

- Provide thoughtful challenge when needed to protect Vizient's long-term interests. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred (Master's desired). - 10+ years of progressive experience in data architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise technology delivery.

- Demonstrated leadership of large-scale data or analytics initiatives. - Strong understanding of modern data platforms, integration patterns, and cloud architectures. - Proven ability to lead through both influence and formal authority.

Preferred Experience - Experience supporting healthcare, analytics, or data-driven organizations. - Background spanning both architecture and delivery leadership. - Familiarity with data governance, privacy frameworks, and security controls.

Leadership Expectations - Direct, pragmatic, and accountable leadership style. - Willingness to make decisions and stand behind them. - Focus on long-term stability, scalability, and member value.

- Respect for proven practices while applying sound judgment to modern technologies. Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range.

Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00. This position is also incentive eligible
