SAFETY DATA ANALYST / COORDINATOR
Job Description - General Industry

Department: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
Reports To: EHS Manager / Safety Manager
 

Position Summary

The Safety Data Analyst / Coordinator supports workplace safety programs through data management, analytics, compliance tracking, and safety coordination activities. This role transforms safety data into actionable information, supports OSHA compliance efforts, maintains EHS systems, and assists operations in reducing risk and improving safety performance.

This position supports the Campus implementation of the "Safety Success" program through safety data analytics, regulatory compliance tracking, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and Input data and report information into the safety management system.
  • Analyze incident, injury, near-miss, inspection, and audit data
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and scorecards
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual safety reports.
  • Coordinate corrective action tracking and closure.
  • Maintain OSHA logs and safety records.
  • Support safety inspections, audits, and investigations.
  • Administer EHS software systems and databases.
  • Coordinate and track employee training and certifications.
  • Identify trends and recommend risk reduction initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and safety campaigns.
  • Conduct New Hire training and evaluations using Alchemy and Instructor lead methods.
  • Ability to conduct Inspections and assessment as assigned. (i.e., First Aid Kits, AEDS, Emergency shower and eyewash stations, walking surfaces, emergency evacuation routes, etc.)
  • Ability to assist with issuing PPE, LOTO gear, and safety equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • Associated degree in Safety, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Safety Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in EHS, safety coordination, or data analytics.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards. (OSHA 30, OSHA Recordkeeping, or NSC certificates)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience or ability to learn Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry. (Required)
  • GSP, ASP, or other EHS or Lean certifications. (Preferred)
  • Experience with Brady LINK360, Intelex, Cority, Alchemy, Avetta, Rever, or similar EHS platforms.
